In May 2024, Jen participated in a panel discussion with Richard Peabody, the founder of Gargoyle Magazine and Paycock Press; Hannah Grieco of Alan Squire Publishing; and Michael Landweber, a former editor at the Potomac Review, at the 2024 Washington Writers Conference. They had a frank dialogue about the ins and outs of publishing.
She is the founder and executive director of JackLeg Press and the author of the novel "Pink" (Harrington Park Press, 2007; Bold Stroke Books, 2008). Her poetry has been featured in publications such as the New York Quarterly, Art Times, HLLQ, Fish Stories Collective editions 2-4, theoryandsafari, and the anthology Power Lines (Tía Chucha Press).
In addition to her writing career, Jennifer works full-time as the Senior Vice President of Philanthropy at the National Park Foundation. With over 25 years of nonprofit experience, she has been a dedicated fundraiser, contributing to raising over $1 billion in charitable gifts throughout her career. Jennifer holds a Ph.D. in Community Psychology from NLU, an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona.
