In May 2024, Jen participated in a panel discussion with Richard Peabody, the founder of Gargoyle Magazine and Paycock Press; Hannah Grieco of Alan Squire Publishing; and Michael Landweber, a former editor at the Potomac Review, at the 2024 Washington Writers Conference. They had a frank dialogue about the ins and outs of publishing.
Jennifer Harris is the founder and executive director of JackLeg Press and the author of the novel "Pink" (Harrington Park Press, 2007; Bold Stroke Books, 2008). Her writing has been featured in publications such as Gargoyle Magazine, New York Quarterly, Art Times, HLLQ, Fish Stories Collective, and the anthology Power Lines (Tía Chucha Press).
In addition to her writing career, Jennifer works full-time as the Senior Vice President of Philanthropy at the National Park Foundation. With over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, she has been a dedicated fundraiser, helping to raise more than $1 billion in charitable gifts throughout her career. Jennifer holds a Ph.D. in Community Psychology from NLU, an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona.
